DRDO offers a bunch of supply opportunities

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is offering a bunch of opportunities for the industry to make products for it. 

Here are some: 

1. 1. Main wheel tyre and nose wheel tyre 

2. 2. Waterjet propulsion systems for retrofitment onboard naval ships. These include hydraulic power pack assembly, main pump assembly, electronic control valve assembly, actuator assembly and steering actuators with inbuilt stroke sensors. 

3. 3. Canisters made of composites that store HP/LP liquids and gases like Oxygen and Nitrogen 

4. 4. Robotic solution to safely dispose-off misfired ammunition, which is detachable and adaptable to be fitted on to guns 

5. 5.Amplidyne, which is a power amplifier for movement of Antenna Launcher Assembly and is a combination of a motor and a generator 

6. 6. Automatic gun raising and lowering mechanism for 40 mm L-70 vintage air Defence guns  

Companies and partnership firms that have capability to produce these for the Defence, and do not have foreign investment more than 49 per cent in them are eligible to apply for a grant up to Rs 10 crore, subject to 90 per cent of the total project cost. But 100 per cent funding may be considered on a case-to-case basis. Funding will be linked to milestones of achievement.
